Irish Take 3rd Place in Putnam Valley Tournment

The Sacred Heart Irish are not last year's team: not by a long shot. After losing a tough first-round matchup against Ramapo on Friday, December 18, the Irish rebounded to defeat Spackenkill 62-59 to secure third-place on Saturday, December 19. This year's result is a far cry from last year, when Spackenkill defeated the Irish by 25 poitns in the same tournament.

All-Tournament selection Alonzo Rose led the Irish with 24 points. Sean Smith contribued 18 points, while John Cooper scored 14 points. The Irish countinue play this week in the Albertus Magnus Touranment.
