Sacred Heart High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Claire Sullivan as its first-ever Director of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations. Ms. Sullivan will lead Sacred Heart's efforts to provide quality education to students of Yonkers, the Bronx, Mount Vernon, and beyond.
Born in the Bronx and raised in the Homefield section of Yonkers, Ms. Claire Sullivan attended St. Anthony of Nepera Park Grade School (’88) and Our Lady of Victory Academy (’92). She graduated from Purchase College (’96) with a Bachelor of Science in biology (concentration: cellular and molecular biology), with minors in chemistry and environmental science. Ms. Sullivan was employed by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a Senior Representative for Patient and Family Services. She has also accrued extensive 501c(3) nonprofit experience benefitting educational and youth organizations for the South Orangetown Central School District and its surrounding community in Rockland County, NY. She holds certificates in Nonprofit Management and Marketing for Nonprofits from Rockland Community College (’17). In addition, Ms. Sullivan is a Confirmation catechist for the parish religious education program at St. Catharine of Alexandria in Blauvelt, NY.
Ms. Sullivan’s experience in the nonprofit world includes the development and coordination of fundraising events, research and procurement of grants, annual budget setting, social media and communications management, and local business and community relations. She’s a member of several South Orangetown Central School District committees including Curriculum Council, the School Quality and Safety Task Force, and the Tappan Zee High School Master Schedule Committee, and is the immediate past-president of the South Orangetown Middle School Parent Teacher Association. Ms. Sullivan will lend experience and perspective to Sacred Heart High School’s institutional advancement and alumni relations.
